• Configuring digital certificates, using java key tool for secured applications
• JRocket, JDK troubleshooting and tuning.
• Weblogic Performance Tuning
• Analyzing the Log Files, Thread Dumps, JVM Dumps, Exception Stack Traces, Core Dump
• Must have worked on Linux operating systems in production and development environments.
• Python, WLST, Shell Scripting and Perl programming ability.
• An understanding of network and security issues for the provision of Weblogic Support on Linux OS, along with troubleshooting capabilities.
• Understanding of DNS, NIS, NFS/Automounter, SMTP.
• Deployment and troubleshooting of JAR, WAR, and EAR files in domain and clustered environments

General Responsibilities
• Install and configure multiple instances of 11g/12c databases for development, testing, pre-prod and production on multiple machines.
• Perform backups and restores for each system along with performing regular test of business continuity plans for all production databases.
• Read database administration logs, monitoring systems and scheduled job outputs to make appropriate adjustments per established standards and metrics.
• Research new patches, upgrades and configuration changes for supported databases.
• Create procedures, plans and documentation needed by other database administrators and management to support applications.
• Research new security patches and releases for databases, application servers, as well as any Oracle utilities and tools utilized.
• Evaluate user requests for security access and grant appropriate access.
• Work with the end-user to develop/test/pre-prod/producion and implement new roles for security access.
• Monitor all systems for security/access violations.
• Troubleshooting performance issues.
• Opening cases with technical support to resolve issues.
• Knowledge of Oracle 12c RAC, Data guard, Advance replication and SQL/PL SQL for database deployment.
• Very good Knowledge of operating i.e. Win/RHEL/Unix

Roles and Responsibilities

MUST HAVE

  • Must have PostgreSQL Administration experience.
  • Perform backups and restores for each system along with performing regular test of business continuity plans for all the production databases.
  • Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve live database systems issues.
  • Applying new patches, upgrades and configuration changes for supported databases.
  • Developing and implementing best practices for disaster recovery principles and practices, including Planning, testing, backup/restore.
  • Assists in Defining and implementing maintenance plan for the database systems.
  • Read database administration logs, monitoring systems and scheduled job outputs to make appropriate adjustments as per established standards and metrics.
  • Create procedures, plans and documentation needed by other database administrators and management to support applications.
  • Evaluate user requests for security access and grant appropriate access.
  • Work with the end-user to develop/test/pre-prod/production and implement new roles for security access.
  • Monitor all systems for security/access violations.
  • Resource allocation and monitoring
  • Implemented Clustering, replication (master-master, master-slave, multi-slaves etc.) and load balancing.
  • Implemented Data security and recovery.
  • Implemented Data and database health practices.
  • Performed Patch management and System capacity planning.

GOOD TO HAVE

  • Very good Knowledge of Unix/Linux and shell script.
  • Experience in SQL Query tuning.
  • Well versed with day to day schema changes and database maintenance.
  • Good SQL script skill including SPs, PSQL scripting and performance tuning skills.
  • Help developers to optimize queries, stored procedure and database design.
  • Solid understanding of query execution plans.
  • Troubleshooting performance issues.
  • Experience with migration of database’s from Oracle, other db platforms to PostgreSQL.
